Two weeks of CSA goodness

Oops! I just realized that I never told you what was in last week's basket, and I'm already on a new basket from the farm.

Last week, I my basket was extra heavy, filled with: corn, tomatoes, spaghetti squash, a pumpkin, leeks, radishes, carrots, cucumber, onions, beets, parsley, grapes, strawberries, and a jar of pickles. The grapes are small, purple, seedless, and full of luscious flavour. They're the best grapes I ever had.

This week, my basket was filled with: corn, tomatoes, potatoes, butternut squash, leeks, onions, beets, red bell peppers, mint, apples (honey crisp), strawberries, and a jar of peach jam.

Sweet mama squash is sweet and matches my flavour expectations for squash. I held off using the eggplant for a while, because I'm not used to cooking with it. But the I used some in a chicken stir-fry, together with onions and cilantro. I used more eggplant in a ratatouille omelet, and finished the rest in pasta sauce.
