How to cook everything in my CSA basket

Some time ago, I picked up the cookbook app How to Cook Everything. When I saw okra in this week's basket, I decided to give it a try. I didn't grow up with okra, and I haven't enjoyed the other recipes I tried.

Potato salad

Inspired by leahbobbet's awesome potato salad, I looked up potato salad in the app. I really like how this virtual cookbook is organized. Next to a recipe are tabs to turn to variations, related tips, and notes (to record notes). These potatoes are from a previous basket. Other ingredients from the farm are beans, red onion, and cilantro.

Chicken okra gumbo

The main okra recipe called for sausage, but this variation used chicken. Ingredients from the CSA basket, besides okra, include tomatoes, garlic, and cilantro. The gumbo kept the okra from getting slimy, but I didn't like the flavour much. I love the flavour of the sauce from the heirloom tomatoes.

Stuffed tomatoes

Because what else to do with huge tomatoes? Another recipe from How to Cook Everything. The tomatoes are stuffed with tomato, rice, sausage, and garlic. Served with corn from the farm. No need for a corn recipe. I roast corn in the oven. The corn is so sweet and delicious.
