I often prefer steps as left-overs. They grow more tender, and the flavors become more blended. Other dishes are not better, but are just (or almost) as enjoyable.

This salmon dish from Betty Crocker Gluten Free Recipe Collection tasted great when first cooked. The vegetables and salmon were well-matched. The light sauce kept the fish moist. I might have tagged this as a favorite recipe.

 

Unfortunately, as left-overs, the fish had absorbed too much of the sauce and the flavor wasn't as enjoyable. At least it wasn't as bad as left-over brussel sprouts.
