Potato has a recipe for preparing fries in the oven. OK, they are actually chips and not fries. But the point is that I was looking forward to fries/chips without investing in new equipment or using much oil.
Unfortunately, I was so dissatisfied with the result that I didn't even take a picture. Although cooked, they weren't golden brown. They were a bit bland and greasy. The left-overs were reasonable when cooked into an omelet.
Do you have a good recipe that doesn't require a deep frier?

Oven baked ones would have to probably be cooked medium hot, then turn up the heat high to crisp them up. I imagine it is like roast potatoes, where the secret is never letting them cool, even when basting.
