The cookbook journey goes to France

Well, not quite. Larousse Pratique is a translated encyclopedic French cookbook, but it's not just about French recipes. It's an out-of-print significantly abridged version of the Larousse Gastronomique.

My first five recipes from this book are:
* Pommes bonne femme (baked apples)
* Poulet aux bananes (chicken with plantain bananas) - already prepared this, and it's wonderfully sweet and tasty.
* Boeuf bourguignon (beef burgundy)
* Brocoli aux herbes (broccoli with herbs)
* Saute de legumes aux cajous (sauteed mixed vegetables with cashew nuts)
