bread and fish

Last night I cooked two dishes from my cookbooks: poached salmon steaks from The Original New York Times Cookbook and ham and pineapple bread from The Canadian Bread Machine Cookbook.

The vegetables and wine in the water lent a pleasant flavour to the salmon. And it was soooo tender.

The bread tastes faintly like Hawaiian pizza. Made good toast when topped with hot pepper chardonnay jelly. :-) I'll have to try it with ham and tomato.
