mysteriousparis

Recently read the feedback from the writers group

Previously, I gave them 4 pages from chapter 2 of Mysterious Paris. On Thursday, I received their feedback. Some very good comments on where to improve (especially on maintaining clarity between flashbacks and present time).

I was very happy to see everyone saying that they wanted to read more. However, my doubting side says that it's because they only got a tease and that reading a longer bit wouldn't hold their attention.

On the other hand, I did give them part that I was thinking might not work. I had merged two separate conversations to me, and it looked like a big ugly zipper to me. But apparently it worked.
