Calling all U.S. citizens abroad

If you're a U.S. citizen, you can vote from abroad:

  • even if you have never voted in a previous election
  • even if you were born abroad (with a U.S. parent)
  • are not currently registered to vote

The Overseas Vote 2004 site makes it really easy to register to vote absentee in the upcoming presidential election. They take you through a series of questions to help fill out the form, and also to figure out where to mail the form. Then you print out the form, mail it to the address specified, and you'll get your absentee ballot in the mail.

The site claims it will only take 5 minutes... but it might take a little longer if you need to look up information.

Remember that the last presidential election was very close, and there were close races in certain states. This election may be close as well. Your vote counts!
