Totally, like totally, scallops

Remember when I picked up Totally Scallops at The Cookbook Store? I decided to pick out some recipes to try - while I'm cooking through Apples for Jam (and perhaps other cookbooks). I probably won't prepare scallops more than once or twice a week, because I have to cook them within a day or two of purchasing them.

This cookbook is a journey in itself, as each recipe indicates a locale.

Here are the first five recipes that I selected:
* Scallops with a bourbon touch (New Orleans)
* Sea scallop tapas (Spain)
* Caribbean grilled scallop salad
* Scallop chowder down-home style (Nova Scotia)
* Tomato-rice soup with scallops (Washington State)
