You're right on that count, Craig Claiborne! This recipe for broiled scallops is excellent and easy to prepare. Marinating the scallops in vermouth and seasoning added a great flavor.

I still haven't found lamb cut into cubes, so it looks like the soup will wait. Fortunately, I have the ingredients for some of the other recipes. We still haven't started the bread with the mystery proportions. Today we finished the last of the ham and pineapple bread.
